Mahadev App case: Property worth Rs 388 crore seized

ED has attached new properties worth Rs 388 crore in the Mahadev Betting App case. According to ED, the attached properties include movable and immovable properties. These include investments made by Mauritius-based company Tano Investment Opportunities Fund linked to Dubai-based hawala operator Hari Shankar Tibrewal and properties in Chhattisgarh, Mumbai and MP. So far, ED has frozen, attached or confiscated properties worth Rs 2,295 crore in this case. 11 people have been arrested in this case. The Enforcement Directorate said that an order was issued on December 5 under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) to attach these properties, the total value of which is Rs 387.99 crore. The agency is questioning Tibrewal in this case. At the same time, a stock broker Gaurav Kumar Kedia has been arrested from Kolkata in the case.
